It would be good if when selecting NI category C, a warning came up saying "This category is only valid for the tax year after an employee turns 66", and updated as the state pension age changes. At present an employee of any age could be put into category C, and the only warning is to check a birth certificate, as apposed to warning as to the validity of someone's age.
