Variance report in the current formal is useless for us as while using payment elements, people work different number of hours each week and as a consequence the total pay vary from week to week, however having the variance report which compares the pay rate for payment elements, we would be able to have a control over unauthorised pay rate changes.
An essential feature!
To be honest, I dont bother using the Variance report because of the lack of the above requested feature. Since our employees have varying types of overtime every month, a variance report makes absolutley no sense since it only takes into account total gross pay!
The variance report, as it stands, is a half baked feature and should be completed.
