Most accountants have monthly payrolls rather than weekly due to costs and admin time. The timesheets function on sage should be available to be completed by just the managers of the company that they can then submit to the accountant/bureau for processing instead of going through the employees. Just because an employee isn't a shift worker means doesn't mean that a payroll bureau would not need a timesheet from the business to input from. The timesheets function on sage, is only really any good if you have weekly payroll and employees on shift work, even then, there is no function for the manager approving the timesheet to submit deductions with those hours or adjust the overall timesheet. Sage charges additional costs to unlock 'online payslips/document' that cant work for us. This means you want to charge us/client extra for just payslips which they have already needed to have since prior to the introduction of the online portal? Why would they or us pay? Sages timesheet function needs to be developed further by focusing on what entries a payroll person makes day to day into the 'enter payments' screen, which is information from a manager that an employee would not have a clue about!
