We would like to be able to track the calculated/remaining Company Sickness benefit entitlement within Sage - we had this capability in our previous payroll system & have now reverted to manually tracking which is not ideal.
The Sickness Benefit year runs on a rolling 12-month period. The amount of Sickness Benefit received and the maximum period for which the benefit will be paid in any year, will depend on length of service as set out in the following table:
0-6 months' service Nil
6-12 months' service two weeks benefit at 100% of the basic pay rate
After 1 years service one month benefit at 100% of the basic pay rate
After 3 years service two months benefit at 100% of the basic pay rate
After 5 years service three months benefit at 100% of the basic pay rate
After 7 years service four months benefit at 100% of the basic pay rate
Over 10 years service six months benefit at 100% of the basic pay rate
Company sick pay is inclusive of any SSP due for the same period.
